Job Title: Secretary
Overview
• To provide comprehensive administrative support to the relevant team or Department.
• To organise and effectively implement and monitor day to day administrative tasks.
• To ensure ongoing work is prioritised, processed and dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Provide full secretarial support as required including minute taking, filing, photocopying, message taking, and process ordering documentation.
• Provide an effective typing service – general correspondence, agendas, minutes, reports, emails etc.
• Provides all clerical and secretarial support to the department.
• Cover for the Office Manager / Senior Administrator in their absence.

Formal Qualifications, education & training required
NVQ 3
Excellent keyboard skills to RSA 3 level or equivalent or equivalent experience
Essential skills and competencies
• In-depth knowledge of up to date computer systems (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (electronic, written and verbal)
Desirable skills and competencies
• Working knowledge of the Facilities / Estates Department
• Knowledge of Healthcare/acute hospital environment
• Working knowledge of Facilities / Estates software systems.
Essential experience
• Previous administrative experience
