The Electrical Technical platform (ETP) has an important role in both listening to and supporting the views of members in terms of electrical matters. As our role within the institute and wider professional community develops the existing members of the group felt it necessary to expand the membership in order to increase the effectiveness of this technical platform.
In September 2022 a call to the membership through the IHEEM website was made for volunteers. As this was the first time we have approached the membership in this manner we had to make sure that we gave all applicants opportunity to demonstrate how their skill sets complemented and augmented the existing skill sets of the ETP.
Initially we were looking to add two additional members to the group. However, sadly one of the original members and strong supporter of this expansion passed away during the process.
As chair of the ETP I am pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the ETP. They are Jason Fisher, Martyn Stanway and Lee Cowie and am looking forward to working closely with these and all the existing members of the ETP to serve the IHEEM membership in terms of technical assistance and support of all things electrical.
Details of the ETP membership and activities carried out by the ETP are available on the IHEEM website and as always, the ETP welcomes comments and questions of an electrical matter which can be sent through the “ASK AN EXPERT” page on the IHEEM website.
