The medical gas specialist scooped both the Healthcare Supplier of the Year Award – which recognises the individual, team, or company that has been supplying an NHS or private healthcare facility successfully and reliably over the past 12 months, and theSustainable Achievement Award – for the organisation, team, or product that has made the best use of innovative technology and sustainable practices to reduce the hospital estate’s carbon footprint. This second award was won jointly by BeaconMedaes, Medclair, and the Newcastle Hospitals Estates and Sustainability Teams for ‘Nitrous Cracking – Safe and Sustainable Delivery of Net Zero Medicines.’
BeaconMedaes was also runner-up in the Product Innovation of the Year category, again with Medclair, for the Central Destruction Unit (CDU) and Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS), which it says ‘provides sustainable gas cleaning of exhaled nitrous oxide’.
“Receiving these awards makes us all incredibly proud – we work so hard to support the incredible work done by UK hospitals, and ultimately improve patient safety and care, and I believe the BeaconMedaes team really is second to none,” said Andy Tudor, Marketing & Communications manager, UK & Eire at BeaconMedaes. “It was an honour to share the room and stage with some of the UK’s leading healthcare suppliers, and to come out top in not one, but two categories, made it a marvellous night. Thank you to the judges, and especially to all our customers for the trust they place in us every day.”
