General Overview: The post holder is responsible for ensuring that engineering maintenance is carried out to an appropriate standard and specification using contracts and directly managed maintenance staff. The post holder will carry out/supervise minor revenue schemes and capital works. The post holder will be an authorised person/responsible officer in relation to specific technical operations in the area. The post holder will offer support to other managers within the Facilities Division.
Average Salary: £38K-£44K (depending on NHS experience)
Skills and Essential experience (based on AfC person specification):
Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship work in an Engineering or Building Services environment Minimum two years’ experience as an Engineering craftsman in an acute healthcare environment Minimum three years’ experience in the validation and periodic testing of porous load sterilizers and at least one other sterilizer process Maintenance and repair of complex Building Services Installations OR Maintenance and repair of complex Engineering plant and equipment Installation of engineering building services Testing and commissioning of Engineering building services Committed to Health & Safety, Self-motivated and a Team player, Quality approach to work, Good communicator
Qualifications: Bachelors Hons or equivalent
