Geoffrey Robinson Limited is an award-winning family owned company established in 1971, who have established themselves as an NHS and Healthcare services constructor; led by continued customer demand, and repeat business from our clients.

The company continues to be family managed, by Neal Robinson, the Managing Director. He re-invests in the company, encouraging all to self-deliver projects to clients in a non-adversarial, open and transparent manner. Around 65% of the 2019 turnover of £20 million was undertaken on NHS and Healthcare sites. We own our buildings, have strong working capital and healthy balance sheet.

We currently employ over 200 people, and are NHS P22 construction contractors, with good understanding of HTMs and working in live operational hospital environments. Underpinning the HTM standards is our compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, all of which are integrated into our policies and procedures used by our construction teams.

Our Directors are technical Directors, and we have operating divisions of Mechanical, Electrical, Ductwork, Construction and FIRAS Fire-stopping. With fewer sub-contract functions our quality is more assured and better focused on the customers’ demands and time scales. We were one of the first companies to offer a design and maintain PFI solution for a hospital energy centre, at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, and have since installed many Energy Centres, steam, gas and electrical at various NHS Trusts in the north of England.

Early in 2020, we built our own 800m2 ductwork manufacturing facility, with all associated plant and equipment to allow us to better control the quality of the design and systems we build and install.
Our electrical division won the national 2019 ECA Partnering Award, for works involving the surveying, design and installation and upgrading of the HV/LV electrical infrastructure at Leazes Building, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Trust, where all the critical care functions are located.

And finally, due to recent client demand during the Coronavirus restriction period, our Construction team have completed 2 concurrent high-profile fast turnaround healthcare Projects. We installed from concept design to completion the NHS Nightingale Hospital North East, a 460 ICU facility, in just over 4 weeks. This was followed by another 10-week construction project at James Cook University Hospital, to build a new COVID 19 CT scanner room, with all associated FIRAS Fire-stopping, ventilation and hospital mechanical and electrical services.
