Havens Hospices encompasses two care sites, a Community Healthcare Team and several retail stores.
Fair Havens provides care and support to adults living with incurable conditions in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford, from the point of diagnosis, and ongoing throughout an individual’s medical journey.
Little Havens provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are living with complex or incurable conditions, from Essex and the surrounding boroughs.
Our Wellbeing Team offers a wide range of support and life-enhancing therapies, including help accessing benefits and local services, and emotional, mental health, social, and spiritual support.
Our Community Healthcare Team help provide all the above services to members of our community who may prefer to receive care and support within their own home or may be unable to visit us in person.

Available work experience opportunities
Student Placements for Work Experience:
13+: Voluntary placement in a shop as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
14-16: Placement in professional services or trading.
16-18: Placement in professional services, trading, or wellbeing. This can be completed as part of a college course or apprenticeship.
18+: All the above, as well as Placements in care (in-patient and community), which can be as a part of a degree course.
Professional services include HR, finance, facilities, fundraising and IT.
We currently offer apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships as part of our internal career progression initiative. Once an individual has passed their probation period, they can apply to take part in a course which is relevant to their department.
