Hunters – We are Architects and Building Consultants
Our award-winning architectural team place well-being at the top of the design agenda and our dedicated healthcare team are no exception. We get an enormous amount of joy working in collaboration with our clients and provide exceptional service through engagement, design and delivery phases generating affordable, practical and inspirational design solutions.
Our clients are both in the public and private sectors, we’ve designed and delivered hundreds of projects a new paediatric and gynecologically wing at Stoke Mandeville hospital, the reconfiguration of cardio units at St George’s Hospital, a recent major Harley Street refurbishment and the rethinking & master planning of several NHS trust portfolios.
Our designs are informed by the end users, the patients, staff and visitors, and the reason for such a range of successful healthcare projects is the up-front listening and working with all the communities involved. We aim to make delivery that be easier for our clients by mixing technical know-how with pragmatic and creative design.
Our expertise covers many areas of complex healthcare projects including visitor experience, theatre design, space planning, A&E, paediatrics, outpatients, inpatients, staff facilities, GP Surgeries, research facilities and mental healthcare. We have an exceptional Later Living team who work with us on designing for later life care and dementia. We have been awarded Stirling Gold Dementia Design for many homes around the country.

Our new learning hub allows us to provide learning material. We will have the option for gated content so if you have anything you only want our members to see please let us know, if not it will go on the website for everyone to access.

Available work experience opportunities
We have three aims in this area, firstly is to inspire the next generation into our industry at school age, second to mentor and give back to those studying our professional subjects and lastly to mentor graduates to achieve professional status (RIBA / RICS / CIOB).
Schools – We attend and promote our professions at both school and client career fairs and offer work placements every year for local, underprivileged children.
Undergraduates – For several years we have mentored students at Reading University including through a second-year major project and offer paid summer placements in our Building Consultancy team. Many of these placements have turned into successful careers with us after graduating.
Postgraduates – We recently launched the APC club to help support our Building Consultancy graduates on the path to exam success. We have several approved assessors and mentors for both RIBA and RICS assessments at Hunters to help graduates expand their professional qualifications. On top we financially contribute and provide study leave for exams.
