Hereford Clinical Commissioning Group
About
A fundamental change to the way health and social care services are commissioned took place in April 2013.
This is when Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (HCCG) first became “authorised” and took over full legal responsibility for commissioning most of the county’s health services.
HCCG joins together the family doctors from Herefordshire’s 20 GP practices in a single county wide clinician-led commissioning body.
Family GPs are the people closest to patients, and for most of them their GP is their principal point-of-contact with the NHS.
We are working diligently to ensure health services for Herefordshire patients are the best they can be. We will do this working with the providers of health services such as hospitals, partners such as Herefordshire Council and the voluntary sector.
