Employing over 10,000 staff, we have a turnover of £870 million and have 1.7 million patient contacts a year. The Trust comprises over 1,300 beds and 32 operating theatres, running clinical services from a number of sites.
As Director of Estates and Facilities you will lead the delivery of all strategic and operational Estates and Facilities functions to the Trust and will work in partnership with the PFI contractor for organisations and system partners. The post holder will be responsible for a PFI contract with total annual spend of circa £112 million in addition to the circa £10 million direct budget for Estates and Facilities ensuring high quality and affordable hard and soft FM support services are available to our patients, staff, and the public.
The Trust’s vision is to be a national and international leader in healthcare, rooted in our communities. Our organisational strategy “More than a hospital” outlines how we intend to achieve this vision and includes an array of exciting capital programmes including the development of our Rugby St. Cross site and expanding the range of services we will provide in community settings. You will work closely with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer in the development and management of the estates related elements of these programmes and maintain the masterplan and strategic vision for the built environment.
You will also be responsible for leading the Trust in its strategic ambition to be a net zero organisation working with partners, local organisations/suppliers to ensure the effective delivery and management of services whilst ensuring environmental impact is reduced.
As a driven and influential leader, you will have an excellent track record in leadership and contract negotiation and long term contractual management through working as a senior manager in a large complex organisation. You will be experienced with addressing the complex challenges and your excellent communication skills will afford you the ability to be able to work in partnership across boundaries to inspire teams to deliver the best possible services to all our patients, staff and local communities.
