South and City College Birmingham is a vocational college that offers students part-time, full time and Apprenticeship courses from level 1 to higher education in a range of subjects.

We are committed to ensuring students have the relevant skills, qualifications and experience required for their future, whether that is to seek employment or continue their education at college or university.

We have exceptional facilities which we continue to invest in, including a purpose-built construction centre, hair and beauty salons that are open to the public, a fine dining restaurant run by students, music and sound recording rooms, an industry-standard auditorium and much more.

The college is actively involved in the community, with local businesses and has excellent links with industry; this not only allows us to provide excellent opportunities for our students to gain work experience placements, apprenticeships and job opportunities but for the college to help employers ensure they have a skilled workforce needed for the future.

Welcome to South & City College Birmingham.

Making the decision about your next steps after school can be a difficult one. There are lots of things to consider. Where has the best course for your future career goals? Who has the best success rates? Are there a range of facilities? And most importantly, who will help you stand out from the crowd when it comes to applying for jobs or getting into university?

At South & City College Birmingham our aim is to help you solve these problems and give you what you need to achieve your goals.

We have excellent student success rates above many other colleges. As a result of this and the excellent teaching and guidance at the college, our students tell us that they feel happy and supported during their time with us.

We have hundreds of hands-on courses in a wide range of subjects, and not only do our students get to learn in excellent facilities with industry standard equipment, but we are also investing millions in our buildings to ensure we meet the high standard that you should expect.

But what makes us really stand out from the crowd is how we will help you shine, no matter who you are. We work non-stop to provide springboards for all our students to get jobs and create excellent additions for their CV’s and university applications. Whether that is from our links with local employers for work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships, to creating opportunities for hands-on work within the college. We have construction students who have renovated parts of our campuses, media students who create videos for promotional use and childcare students working in our on-site nursery.
