Job Title: Commissioning Officer
Overview
- The Commissioning Officer has the lead responsibility for the development and acceptance of robust design briefs, liaison with stakeholders and for the implementation of the commissioning process for projects on completion.
- To assist the Capital and Transformation to provide the effective delivery of the non-building and engineering provisions within projects and schemes with particular emphasis on communication and liaison.

Formal Qualifications, education & training required
Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Essential skills and competencies
- IT skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to pay attention to detail.
- Good organizational and project management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
- Good level of fitness and a head for heights.
- The ability to meet targets.
Desirable skills and competencies
- Competent with AutoCAD or similar
- Competent with Microsoft Projects
- Excellent communication and negotiating skill
Essential experience
- Five years’ experience in Capital Projects.
- Experience in construction site management.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
Sound knowledge of Building Regulations.
