Job Title: Trainee Estates Officer
Overview
- To assist the Estates Development Team across the full range of duties in the implementation of minor capital works as part of the Trust’s Capital Programme.
- To be responsible for the management, design, development and implementation of a range of minor capital construction projects under £100,000 in value.
- To assist the Trust’s Project Manager in the management, design, development and implementation of a range of minor capital construction projects under £1,000,000 in value.
- To act as a professional-client liaison officer and/or project manager for capital new build and refurbishment construction projects.
- Undertaking surveys and produce reports on specified construction issues.
- Assist the Estates Development Team (Senior Project Managers) across the full range of their duties.
- Undertake feasibility studies.
- Update record drawings as required.

Job Title: Estates Officer
Overview
- As a member of the Estates Department, you will be responsible for the effective management and compliance of Engineering and Maintenance services within the Trust, with a comprehensive, multi-disciplined knowledge of all health care services, and relevant statutory guidance will be required to perform this role.
- You will assist in ensuring a cost-effective and efficient engineering and maintenance service is provided, and deputise for the Maintenance Manager in times of absence.
- You will maintain a high degree of flexibility in being responsive to the Trust’s needs.

Job Title: Estates Officer (Specialist Services)
Overview
- The day-to-day management of the Estates Directorate drawing records, O&M Manuals, Six Facet Information, Compliance records and asbestos reports stored on a Trust-wide and external database (MICAD Property Compliance system).
- Delivery and Implementation of Building Information Management (BIM) and Government Soft Landings (GSL) local procedures and strategy in line with the National implementation target.
- To provide training on the MICAD system to end-users and support where required.
- Undertake site surveys of the Trust’s land and property portfolio and help to establish and maintain up-to-date and accurate AutoCAD and digital records using MiCAD.
- Implementation and management of specific projects and systems specifically related to Estates Operations and capital Information.
- Produce, update, collate and modify the directorates drawing records and to maintain an auditable trail that meets the requirements of statutory and central NHS standards.
- To produce complex information reports as required by the EFPFI services management team specifically in relation to Capital projects and the MICAD system.

Overview
- To assist the Hospital Estates Department in the provision of an efficient and cost-effective system of maintenance and installation of complex mechanical, electrical and building services, building fabric and associated equipment.
- All in accordance with current legislation, standards, guidance and good working practices.
- To understand the complete working of the mechanical or electrical/electronic systems of the hospital and to demonstrate commitment and flexibility particularly in relation to new technology.
- Providing first-line managerial responsibility for directly employed and contract maintenance staff.
