The ‘celebratory list’ highlights influential leaders across a range of industries for their positive impact on their respective industry. It recognises leaders ‘who show innovative thinking, exceptional leadership skills, and commitment to affirmative change in their daily work’. NHSPS says Dr Ghumra’s inclusion demonstrates his leadership at the organisation ‘in creating stronger corporate social responsibility and improved environmental sustainability standards’, and his commitment to leading on and delivering the organisation’s corporate Green Plan, energy and environment strategy, and social and governance frameworks.
He said: “I’m incredibly humbled to have been picked to join such a great list of leaders. My thanks to NHS Property Services for such an amazing start in the organisation’s tenth anniversary year, and to my fellow Executive colleagues for being incredibly supportive of myself and the work that I’m here to do. As an organisation, we’re committed to leading the way in responsible business, and ensuring that we’re implementing more environmentally and socially conscious business practices across our portfolio. We will continue to evolve the NHSPS estate to ensure we always have a focus on sustainability, and that we develop our business practices with an emphasis on responsibility to our customers, patients, and the natural world around us.”
NHSPS added: “Dr Ghumra joined NHSPS in December 2022, and is recognised both nationally and internationally for his work in corporate social responsibility. Since then, he has brought a wealth of experience to the NHSPS Executive Board as an ethical and sustainable construction expert.”
