Visit to Midland Metropolitan Hospital – Thursday 15th June 2023 @ 17:00

IHEEM West Midlands are pleased to confirm a site visit to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital. Jointly hosted by Mark Jacques (MEP Lead Balfour Beatty) and Kevin Reynolds (Head of Strategic Estates & Capital – Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust) the visit will include a tour of the facility which is now in the final stages of construction and commissioning. Comprising more than 700 beds, 11 operating theatres an emergency unit and maternity services MMH is one of the largest acute hospitals currently under construction.

Members will get an opportunity to network before a brief introduction from Mark and Kevin followed by a tour of the facility. The outline programme is as follow –

17:00    Networking and light refreshments

17:45    Introduction and safety briefing

18:00    Site tour

19:30    Depart

The site is still a construction site and delegates should therefore dress appropriately. Although some PPE is available delegates are requested, if at all practical, to bring their own (glasses, boots, gloves, hard hat and Hi-Viz). For practical and safety reasons numbers on this visit are limited to 25 so please do book as soon as possible to reserve your place. If the visit becomes over-subscribed we will retain a waiting list should spaces become available.
