The company ‘thrives on a culture of continuous innovation and desire to produce the most cost-effective, dependable, and compliant emergency lighting solutions’. P4 Cloud, launched in May, builds on the company’s proven self-testing and reporting systems with the addition of an intuitive, web-based customer user interface. P4 said: “It is the perfect solution for healthcare estates, as emergency lighting in multiple buildings can be managed from one centralised portal. System status, testing records, alerts, and reports, are all easily accessible. The Cloud is continuously updated, with emergency lighting test records retained for a minimum of four years. Data resilience is assured, as test records are stored locally on the P4 M-web controller unit, as well as the cloud.”
It added: “Existing customers will be pleased to know that we have ensured all existing M-web FWSD controller units are compatible with P4 Cloud (a firmware update may be required). UK Sales and Marketing director, Steve Rham, said: “Thirteen years ago I applied to P4 for a position as an Area Sales Manager. My decision to join was powered by the belief that what P4 offered was of real value to its customers. Self-testing emergency lighting assists compliance, efficiency, and peace of mind, and means more buildings are ultimately safer for occupiers. With financial and compliance pressures, the only way forward surely must be embracing technological advancements and simplifying today’s challenges. All this is backed by our commitment to quality, and providing customers with the evidence that by choosing P4, they’re choosing the best.”
P4 secured its first BSI Kitemark in 2019 for self-testing emergency lighting systems, followed by the BSI Mark of Trust Kitemark for IOT Devices for its M-Web controller system. The company is accepted into Made in Britain due to its commitment to UK manufacturing, which it says ‘minimises the risk of materials supply chain issues’. It also holds LIA and ICEL membership, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BAFE certification.
Steve Rham added: “The UK is soon to adopt a revised version of BS5266 Pt 1. This will support higher illumination levels, with new areas covered, and an enhanced focus on testing and compliance. Come and talk to us; we are ready for the change – are you?”
