With the spread of COVID-19 increasing across the UK, engineers and estates professionals in the NHS are now undertaking their vital role in a rapidly changing and increasingly demanding environment. We have received a number of calls and emails from companies and individuals asking IHEEM how they can offer their services, skills and knowledge to the NHS. There is clearly a strong desire amongst our membership to help our NHS efm community who are working tirelessly to keep patients and staff safe.
We have contacted the Estates & Facilities team in NHS England & NHS Improvement to establish how the Institute can help. They are seeking support from our members, and company affiliates who have any individual or specialist services, products or the relevant skillset that will support national efm functions at this critical time. To manage this on their behalf, we have set up a dedicated email address covid19responses@iheem.org.uk that you can forward your details and how you can help and we will ensure they are passed on to the relevant people at NHS England & NHS Improvement who will then take further action directly with you. Please only contact us via the email address above if you wish to submit any response, information or contact details.
Thank you to all those who have already contacted us, we will be passing on your details. Please also regularly monitor our website to keep up-to-date on key messages and urgent requests from NHSE & I which we have been requested to disseminate to our membership. Again, should you wish to respond to anything that appears, please do so via the dedicated email address covid19responses@iheem.org.uk.
