Councillor Neil Nerva, Brent’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Adult Social Care, said: “I’m delighted that local people will benefit from such a brilliant and necessary local resource as part of the growth of the area. It’s really important that developers work with the Council and local health services to ensure improvements being made to our neighbourhoods include all the necessary services and public realm infrastructure to meet the needs of both long-standing and new residents. This is an excellent example of what Brent has done to champion that sort of arrangement, and will see Wembley Park provided with a state-of-the-art health facility that goes hand in hand with the Council’s ambition to create a healthier Brent.”
The practice will join the growing number of fitness and healthcare amenities within the area, such as independent yoga studio, More Yoga, bike specialists, Fix Your Cycle, and Specsavers. Each Quintain Living building offers residents’ dedicated gym spaces, while The Yellow, Wembley Park’s community centre, hosts free and low-cost community classes such as women’s only fitness, parent and toddler groups and dance, encouraging people to meet and improve their wellbeing in a supportive environment.
